Matte Poster Print & Framed Print
Our 250gsm matte art poster print has has a smooth surface which allows for high density ink coverage and vivid colours. It is also an FSC certified heavyweight paper that is acid-free.
Most artwork is surrounded by a white border as standard that you may select to remove so that your art is printed edge-to edge.
The inks used for your artwork are museum-grade archival quality with no optical brighteners and have excellent image stability with a 100+ year lifespan!
Your framed print is printed directly to an acid-free foam board backing using Latex inks that are guaranteed to last for 200 years indoors set within a spacer (box) frame with a 20mm face under a 99% UV filtering reflective acrylic glaze. You have a choice of framing in Raw Tasmanian Oak, Smooth Black, Smooth White, or Brushed Silver.
Every step of the framing process is approached with care and attention to detail, so your poster print is always in good hands.
Stretched or Floating Frame Satin Canvas
Our museum-quality premium satin finish canvas is printed using beautiful Latex inks and is acid-free and pH-neutral.
This 381gsm canvas is scratch and crack resistant and when hung indoors away from direct sunlight, its latex inks can last up to 200 years!
Your artwork is stretched over premium finger-jointed pine stretcher bars and all canvases over 1m are braced. For a stretch only canvas, the sides of the canvas are a solid colour so that the entire artwork appears on the front.
If you have chosen a floating framed canvas, your 12mm face hand-made frame is available in Raw Tasmanian Oak, Smooth Black, Smooth White, Brushed Silver Top with Black Sides, or Brushed Gold Top with Black Sides.
Solid wood frames are used wherever possible only from local Australian sustainable sources. All of the backing boards used are acid-free, and avoid MDF or any other type of reconstituted materials.
A quality fine art print deserves the best protection. When you buy a framed print from Kai Morgin, a UV-coated acrylic glaze will help shield your Giclee print from UV rays. Keep in mind that your new print should not be presented in direct sunlight, under fluorescent lighting, or hung outdoors.
If you purchase a standalone print, ensure to only touch the white border around the print during handling. For large format prints that arrive in a tube, lay out the print face up on a flat, clean surface, with tissue paper or similar on top. Place heavy books on each corner for a few hours before transferring to your frame for display.
